The wrong battery in a stop-start car will fail in 6–12 months and can trigger battery-management fault codes. Fitting the right technology (EFB or AGM) matters as much as fitting the right size.
- A short drive after fitting is fine — the alternator will top up the battery within 30 minutes
- AGM batteries may need registering with the car's BMS on some German cars — we do this with our diagnostic tool
