The tyre fitting process — step by step
Full transparency on exactly what happens from the moment you get in touch to the moment we hand back the keys.

Confirm the fit
We double-check the size against your reg and the sidewall of the old tyre.
- 2
Remove old tyres
Wheels off, tyres broken down and removed. Rims cleaned before new tyres go on.
- 3
New valve + fit
Fresh rubber valve (or metal-clamp for TPMS) fitted before the new tyre is mounted.
- 4
Dynamic balance
Each wheel balanced on our workshop rig — accurate to 5 g.
- 5
Torque check
Refitted with a calibrated torque wrench to manufacturer spec.

Everything included with your tyre fitting
No hidden extras, no vague pricing. Here's exactly what you get, what we bring, what to have ready and what happens afterwards.

- In-shop stock of Michelin, Continental, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Falken, Nexen and more
- Your reg or the size on the sidewall (e.g. 205/55 R16 91V)
- Locking wheel-nut key
- The tyres you want fitted if you're supplying your own
- You've bought tyres online and need them fitted
- You want to swap winter tyres for summer or vice-versa
- Tread on any tyre approaching 3 mm

A tyre is only as good as the fit. A rushed fit — wrong valve, no balance, over-torqued nuts — will vibrate, leak or wear unevenly within a few hundred miles. Proper tools and 10 extra minutes save a tyre.
- Pop back for a free retorque after 50 miles if you'd like the reassurance
- New tyres need ~200 miles of gentle driving to bed in
- Recheck cold pressures weekly for the first month
Can I supply my own tyres?+
Yes — fit-only from £20 per wheel including valve, balance and disposal. Just make sure they're the right size and DOT-dated within the last 3 years.
Do you fit run-flats?+
Yes, on any car whose OE specification includes them. We'll advise against fitting run-flats to a car that wasn't designed for them.
How long for a set of four?+
Typically 45–60 minutes at our shop including balancing.
